Euless – also known as “Tree City USA – is located between Dallas and Fort Worth, but considered a suburb of the Fort Worth. The southwestern portion of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is within Euless city limits. At the time of the 2010 census, the population was just over 51,000, putting it on the small end of being a mid-sized city.
Wonderful recreational venues
Green and beautiful throughout most of the year, Euless is home to a number of relaxing parks. The Bob Eden Park is the largest of these and has a football/soccer field, one softball/baseball field, picnic areas, a half-mile walking/jogging track, volleyball and tennis courts and hiking trails. For flower lovers, the J. A. Carr Park has a rose garden and many shady areas to enjoy on warm spring and summer days.
In keeping with its nickname, Euless sponsors Arbor Daze, a once-yearly celebration of trees usually held on the last weekend of April from Saturday to Sunday. To date, Arbor Daze has received 47 awards and recognition for excellent programs and publications and is one of the most decorated festivals in Texas.
Lots of housing options
Housing options in Euless are as plentiful as they are varied. The city has everything from apartments to homes, which run the gamut from modestly priced to upscale. And where education is concerned, most of the city is served by the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. Euless is also home to a charter school called the Harmony Science Academy.
